The Laguna Playhouse offers many concerts and productions each year to those who enjoy coastal Orange County living. One upcoming production is The Perfect Dog. This book that has been turned into a musical will run from January 17th through January 19th, 2020. Performances will be at 7 p.m. on Friday, and 1 p.m. and 5 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday. Tickets are $18 for children and $28 for adults.
This performance will speak to both youth and dog lovers who call coastal Orange County home. The story is about a 12-year-old perfectionist named Sam. He is searching for a dog that has no flaws to enter into the town’s dog contest. He cannot find a dog without flaws and resorts to trying to train the family’s dog Max. In the process, Sam discovers that there is no such thing as a perfect dog, but a boy and his dog can be perfect for each other. The music is by David Abbinanti and the script is by Jill Abbinanti.
