Live in Newport Beach and Ride a BikeThe outdoors is calling Orange County Coastal home owners. Grab your bike and take advantage of National Ride Your Bike Day on Sunday, May 7, 2023. Join in with the City of Laguna Niguel recreational staff members as they hit the trail for a family group bike ride.

One and all are welcome to partake. Participants are asked to bring their own bike and helmets are required. E-bikes are okay too for those who prefer to ride them. The sun will be shining so please be aware of the heat and dress accordingly. Layered clothing, sunscreen, and hats are strongly recommended. Water and snacks will be provided by city staff during the trip.

The bike ride starts at 10 a.m. sharp at the Crown Valley Community Center, and should last a couple of hours. Pathways lead bikers along portions of the scenic Salt Creek Trail and Laguna Niguel Regional Park.

In honor of National Bike Month, bikers can also participate in an additional and more robust ride on Saturday, May 13th during the Mountain Bike Group Ride. No e-bikes are allowed and this trek is for more experienced riders only. The excursion begins promptly at 10 a.m. at the Crown Valley Community Center and winds through parts of Salt Creek Trail and explores Wood Canyon Regional Park.

The City of Laguna Niguel encourages its residents to enjoy all local trails during National Bike Month. Bikers participating in National Bike Month rides must sign a waiver to participate.
