Everyone living in coastal Orange County is invited to participate in the 2022 Komen Orange County More than Pink Walk. Join the fight to end breast cancer by getting involved and helping to raise funds for breast cancer research. This walk will take place on Sunday, September 25th, 2022 in Newport Beach. If you would like to participate, registration and the site opens at 6:30 a.m. Participants can also enjoy the Hope Village Complimentary Continental Breakfast from 6:30 to 8:30 a.m. The Pathway of Hope and Opening Ceremony begin at 8:30 a.m. After this, the More than Pink Walk begins at 9 a.m.
You can register as an individual, start or re-form a team, or join a team. Volunteers are also needed to make the walk successful. This event will begin at Pacific Life Insurance Company and Fashion Island, located at 700 Newport Center Dr. For everyone’s convenience, shuttles will run from several locations with easy access and free parking. Off-site parking locations include University Research Park at Bison and California Ave. in Irvine, or Corporate Plaza East at PCH and Newport Center Drive. The shuttles will run from 5:30 a.m. to 12:15 p.m.
In addition to this walk, there are many other ways for those living in coastal Orange County to help the Susan G. Komen Foundation. Donations are always welcome. You can also become a partner or an advocate in science. Furthermore, there are additional ways to fundraise. These include a race or walk, three-day walk, DIY fundraising, and pickleball. Support those people in your life who are dealing with or who have dealt with cancer by participating in these events.
