Join the Cypress Community Festival and Get to Know Local Groups

Celebrate coastal Orange County living at the Cypress Fair.Celebrate the roots of coastal Orange County living by attending the Cypress Community Festival. This annual festival takes place on the last Saturday of every July and occurs to celebrate the incorporation of the city of Cypress. This city originally included more cows than people and was known as Dairy City. This year the festival will take place on July 27th, 2019 at Oak Knoll Park. This event is put together by the Cypress Community Festival Association in conjunction with residents of Cypress, the City of Cypress, the Cypress Kiwanis, and Friends of Cypress Recreation and Parks.

Orange County Living Is at Its Finest at the Day-Long Celebration

Come out to the park between the hours of 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. on the day of the festival to take part in the activities. The schedule is jam packed with fun for the whole family, starting with the Cypress 5k/10k Run/Walk and pancake breakfast. There will be many booths offering delicious food and goods for purchase. Take some amazing handmade items back to your coastal Orange County home for yourself or as gifts. Anyone living in the area that would like to have a booth can fill out an application. There are many categories available including craft/artisan booth, game booth (for non-profit organizations to be set up in the children’s area), information booth for non-profit organizations, food booth, independent specialty booth, and business expo booth.

A few other special events at this festival are the Chili and Salsa Competition and the coloring contest. Make your finest chili and salsa to show off your culinary skills. Children in grades kindergarten through third grade were given a coloring contest entry form before school ended. They did their best work and it will be on display at the festival. Head to Centennial Farm to Learn About Local Orange County History

Learn about historic coastal Orange County living at Centennial Farm.Learn about agriculture and how it relates to coastal Orange County living at Centennial Farm. Explore this three acre working farm that is home to a variety of fruits, vegetables and animals. The farm has been in operation for 30 years. The goal is to educate youth about agriculture and why it is so important. Admission to the farm is free and the hours of operation are Monday through Friday from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m., and Saturday and Sunday from 2 a.m. to 4 p.m. Centennial Farm is located at the OC Fair and Event Center at 88 Fair Drive in Costa Mesa, CA. There are general parking spaces available, but it is recommended to carpool or take public transportation if possible.

Visit to Find out About Coastal Orange County Living Back in the Day

In addition to visiting on your own, this is a great place to schedule a field trip or take garden classes. School tours can be scheduled from late September through early June. There is not a summer program, but Kids Days do occur on Thursdays during the annual OC Fair. Garden classes are intended for those 16 years and over and can be a great tool for learning how to grow fruits and vegetables at your coastal Orange County home. Classes generally begin at 9:30 a.m. and last for about 1.5 or 2 hours.

Anyone 18 and over who enjoys agriculture and working with children can consider volunteering at Centennial Farm. Help children in kindergarten through third grade explore the world around them, understand where our food comes from, and make the most of coastal Orange County living. Come for Independence Day Fun on the Back Bay at Newport Dunes

Celebrate Independence Day near your Newport Coast home.All who call Newport Coast home are invited to celebrate July 4th at Independence Day on the Back Bay. This annual celebration is sponsored by the City of Newport Beach and will feature loads of fun for the whole family. The gates will open at 8 a.m. for this free event at Newport Dunes Waterfront Resort and Marina. Parking is $50 per car and traffic is expected to be very heavy, so try to carpool or catch a ride to and from your Newport Coast home.

The day will be packed with carnival games, live entertainment, food trucks, a photo booth, and fireworks. There will be many family fun activities including paper lantern making at 9 a.m., tissue paper fireworks at 11 a.m., a horseshoe tournament at 1 p.m., a volleyball tournament at 3 p.m., and a cakewalk competition at 5 p.m. There will also be waterpark fun and watercraft rentals available from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. The carnival with games, a photo booth, and inflatables will be open for fun from 2 to 6 p.m.

Bring a Big Appetite from Your Newport Coast Home and Enjoy Great Eats

Food and drinks will also be in abundance at this event. Market and Snacks will be open from 8 a.m. to 11 p.m., Moe B’s Munchies will be open from noon to 7 p.m., Back Bay Bistro will be serving food from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m., Watersports Beach Bar will be open from noon to 6 p.m., food trucks will be at the resort from noon to 9 p.m., and the concert bar will be open from noon to 10 p.m.

Groove to live music starting at 3 p.m. and stick around for the fireworks starting at 9 p.m. before heading back to your Newport Coast real estate. Celebrate Independence Day and Enjoy Live Music at July 4th on the Beach

This annual celebration on the Bay has become a tradition for many. Consider making it your own. The music event will take place from 2:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. on July 4th at Newport Dunes Waterfront Resort. Bring your blankets, beach chairs, and umbrellas to set up a spot on the beach. General admission for the concert is free, or choose front stage VIP table seating for $60. Reserved VIP beach parking is available for $100.00 per car or choose first come, first served day use parking for $50 per vehicle.

Enjoy Coastal Orange County Living and Go to the Resort for a Day of Fun

Parking opens at 8 a.m. and there will be fun for the whole family going on all day. Go swimming in the bay, make use of the incredible inflatable water park, rent hydrobikes, stand-up- paddle boards, or kayaks, and appreciate coastal Orange County living while making memories in the water. Grab something to eat from the food trucks that will be onsite. Full bars will also be selling alcohol at the event. Please leave your own alcohol and any pets at your coastal Orange County home. These are not allowed at the event.

The live music begins at 2:30 p.m. with DSB (tribute to Journey), SantanaWays (tribute to Santana), and Fortunate Sons (tribute to Creedence Clearwater Revival). In addition to these groups, there will also be live DJ’s. The fireworks show will start around 9 p.m. and is sponsored by the City of Newport. Enjoy patriotic music synced to the show and sit back and relax while viewing the amazing colors against the night sky. Classical Music Lovers Attend the Baroque Music Festival

Hear baroque music near your Newport Beach home.All who call Newport Beach home are invited to enjoy some amazing music at the Baroque Music Festival, Corona del Mar. This festival was founded in 1981 and presents five concerts over a span of eight days at the end of June. Concerts this year will take place from June 23rd through June 30th. Here is a look at the schedule available to all living in Newport Beach real estate.

Enjoy the Baroque Concert Series Near Your Newport Beach Home

Back to Bach Concertos will take place on Sunday, June 23rd, 2019 at St. Mark Presbyterian Church at 4 p.m. Come a little early for brass music al fresco on the patio at 3:15 p.m. There will also be a reception on the patio after the concert.

Glories of the Guitar will take place on Monday, June 24th, 2019 at Saint Michael and All Angels Episcopal Church at 8 p.m. Award winning guitarist Marc Teicholz will present Bach favorites and Spanish pieces. Arrive early for brass music al fresco on the patio at 7:15 p.m. There will also be a reception on the patio after the concert.

Passionate Voices: Music of Longing, Devotion and Joy will take place on Wednesday, June 26th, 2019 at Sherman Library and Gardens, Central Patio Room at 8 p.m. Enjoy vocal and instrumental works in this beautiful venue. Brass music al fresco will occur in the gardens at 7:15 p.m. and a reception will follow the performance in the gardens as well.

Bach’s Sons, Friends, and Rivals will take place on Friday, June 28th at Sherman Library and Gardens, Central Patio Room at 8 p.m. Pieces will be performed on the violin, flute, oboe, cello, and harpsichord. Come 45 minutes early to the gardens for brass music al fresco and stay late for a reception.

Festival Finale: Bach the Magnificent will take place on Sunday, June 30th, 2019 at St. Mark Presbyterian Church at 4 p.m. Join the Festival Orchestra and soloists for this performance. As with all other performances, come early and stay late to mingle with other music enthusiasts who call Newport Beach home.

Newport Beach Civic Center to Host Annual Art Exhibition

Coastal Orange County home owners go to the art exhibition.Search for some new artwork for your coastal Orange County home at the 55th Annual Newport Beach Art Exhibition. This one-day event is juried and will feature more than 250 works of art. Come out to see some amazing talent in the form of painting, sculpture, photography, and mixed media. Walk around and view the pieces of art and take note of pieces that would look great on the wall of your coastal Orange County home or that would make great gifts.

Find Art for Your Coastal Orange County Home and Support Local Arts Programs

The exhibition will take place at the Newport Beach Civic Center, located at 100 Civic Center Drive in Newport Beach. Come between the hours of 1 p.m. and 6 p.m. to view the art and make purchases. The Newport Beach Arts Foundation will handle all sales and a 20% donation will go to support community art programs. Be sure to attend the awards reception on Saturday afternoon at 4:30 p.m. See which pieces juror Cassandra Coblentz, who is the Senior Curator and Director of Public Programs at the Orange County Museum of Art, found worthy of awards. There will be awards in painting, photography, and 3D art. There will also be a Juror’s Choice Award and a People’s Choice Award. Prizes range from $100 to $300.

The deadline for submitting pieces for the show has passed, but anyone who would like to submit artwork next year should keep this show in mind. Anyone who has submitted an entry will need to deliver their artwork to the show either Friday, June 14th from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. or Saturday, June 15th from 8:30 a.m. to 10 a.m. Artwork must be picked up right when the show ends at 6 p.m. on Saturday. This event is open to the public and not only includes amazing art, but also food and live entertainment. It is a true showcase of what coastal Orange County living entails. Newport Beach Jazz Festival Comes at the End of May

The festival will take place at the Hyatt Regency Newport Beach, located at 1107 Jamboree Road in Newport Beach from Friday, May 31st through Sunday, June 2nd, 2019.

The Best Music of Coastal Orange County Living Will Play at the Hyatt Regency

The event kicks off on Friday with Sax to the Max. Saturday is packed with performances from Morris Day and the Time, West Coast Jam, Poncho Sanchez, David Benoit and Marc Antoine, Lao Tizer Band, The Braxton Brothers, and Derek Bordeaux. The event comes to a close on Sunday with such greats as George Benson, Jeffrey Osborne, Najee, Nick Colionne, Althea, Selina, and Kayla, Marcus Johnson, and Oreo Divas. Return to your coastal Orange County home with the rhythm still in your step.

There are several options for purchasing tickets. Go all out and purchase a VIP 3-Day Pass for $325. This will include admission to the shows with a preferred seat for Friday night with a pre-concert reception, reserved seating in front of the state for Saturday and Sunday, the ability to visit the VIP beverage tent, and two drink coupons. A single VIP day pass for either Saturday or Sunday is available for $175.

General admission is available for a two day weekend pass for Saturday and Sunday for $135 or a single day pass for Saturday or Sunday for $85. Mark Your Calendar for the Annual Newport Beach Wine Festival

There are brunches, buffets, wine festivals, car shows, and much more. All adults who call Newport Beach home are invited to the 16th Annual Newport Beach Wine Festival. This event will take place May 24th through May 26th, 2019. This is a great way to get in the spirit of summer. The schedule is packed with winemaker dinners, tastings, brunches, and more.

Newport Beach Real Estate Owners Enjoy a Weekend of Amazing Food and Wine

The schedule kicks off with the Far Niente and Nickel and Nickel Winemaker Dinner and Reception. This will take place on Friday, May 24th at 6 p.m. Enjoy wine from Napa Valley Vineyards and a five-course dinner prepared by Executive Chef Vic Casanova and Chef de Cuisine Josh Shapiro.

Saturday, May 25th offers three events. The Mac(allan) and Cheese Whisky Tasting will take place at 12 p.m. Taste a selection of The Macallan’s best whisky paired with tasty cheeses. Next is the Afternoon Grand Wine and Food Festival from 2 to 5:30 p.m. Guests can try wine from all over the world from more than 25 wineries and over 100 varietals. This event ends with three events on Sunday. Taittinger Brunch at Waterline will take place from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and include a delicious brunch with Taittinger champagne. The Culinary Showcase will be from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. Participants will follow the lead of the Resort’s culinary team to create fresh summer dishes. Everyone will receive a set of ingredients to follow along with the demonstrations. The festival ends with the Wine Blending Event from 2 to 4 p.m. Learn how to blend your favorite wines and take home a bottle to share.
