Breast cancer affects many families who live on Newport Beach real estate. Susan G. Komen Orange County estimates that 5 women in Orange County are diagnosed with breast cancer every day. Of those five, one will die. That is a whole lot of suffering for families in Newport Beach homes! That’s why Susan G. Komen Orange County is hosting its annual More Than Pink 5K walk, formerly called Race for the Cure. This Sunday, September 22nd, you’re invited to join the walk, celebrate survivors, and help to bring to life the vision of a world without breast cancer.
Plan to Come to the Newport Beach Real Estate Location for Fellowship and Information
There is still time to register, either as a team or as an individual. Participants who raise $100 or more will receive a free #MoreThanPink t-shirt. Even if you don’t want to walk, you can donate to help fund research looking for a cure for cancer.
On Sunday, registration will open at 6:30 a.m. The Expo will open at that time, too. Participants who are dealing with metastatic breast cancer will be honored with a complimentary breakfast from 6:30 to 8:30 a.m. at the Village of Hope. The opening ceremony will take place at 8:30 a.m. At 9 a.m., the walk will start. There will be time both before an after the walk to check out the booths at the Expo. You’ll be able to share your story with others, learn about research breakthroughs that are bringing us closer to a cure, take a commemorative photo at the More Than Pink VW Bus, and much more. The Expo ends at noon.
The whole event takes place at Pacific Life Insurance Company, at 700 Newport Center Drive, convenient for all Newport Beach real estate owners. Visit the Orange County Susan G. Komen website to learn more about the More Than Pink walk, register, and donate.
