All who call Newport Beach home will once again be able to participate in outdoor programs and classes through the Recreation and Senior Services Department starting the week of February 8th. The winter edition of the Newport Navigator is out and has a huge number of select in-person classes and online classes available to residents. There are offerings for all ages and interests. We are lucky to live in an area with great weather that allows for outdoor classes during these winter months.
Children can participate in a variety of in-person programs outdoors. Preschoolers can meet new friends by participating in art and theater classes, music class, Spanish basics, and the OC Tiny Tots Academy Preschool. Youth sports programs available include baby and me yoga, multi-sport classes, basketball, and soccer. Older children and teens can sign up for karate, basketball, beach volleyball, and judo and jujitsu.
Newport Beach Home Owners Have a Blast with Water Sports
Water sports and racquet sports are a great way for anyone from a Newport Beach home to get out and enjoy fresh air and physical activity in a safe way. The city offers stand-up paddleboard and kayak rentals, as well as sailing classes for all ages and abilities. Youth, teens, and adults can also sign up for tennis or pickleball lessons. Locations are available all over the city with a variety of time slots.
Adults have the chance to come back to in-person classes as well. Line dancing will be held outside on the back patio of the Newport Coast Community Center. HIIT boxing and barre strength and stretch will be available as well as karate, judo and jujitsu, zumba, jazzercise, and more. Keep in mind that parks and trails are still open. There will be several free guided hikes coming up in Buck Gully. Everyone living in Newport Beach real estate is invited to take a look at the offerings and find details about costs and registration online.
