Many coastal Orange County homes and businesses go all out regarding holiday decorations. There are many ways to see beautiful lights around the area. You can drive around local neighborhoods or go to an organized light display. One light display you don’t want to miss is Sherman Library and Gardens' Nights of 1000 Lights. This event will take place over 11 nights in December. Available dates include December 9, 10, 11, 15, 16, 17, 18, 19, 20, 21, and 22. Stroll through the beautiful gardens and enjoy live entertainment and a dazzling display of lights. Bring the whole family or meet up with friends to make lasting memories. The theme this year is “Hooray for Hollywood.”
When you enter, stroll along the red carpet through a light tunnel. When you emerge, make your way to ‘Moulin Rouge.’ Watch can-can dancers and French cabaret singers at a Parisian dance hall in the Tea Garden. Stop to take pictures with a classic 1938 Packard convertible automobile and also walk through the ‘Sherman Shop of Horrors’ and “Trouble in Paradise” in the Tropical Conservatory.
In addition, all who live in coastal Orange County are invited to visit Santa. He will be in the “Miracle on PCH” workshop. Guests can also head to the fire pit to make a s’more, make a wish at “The Wishing Tree,” and shop for gifs at The Garden Shop. Tickets for this event cost $25 for members or $35 for non-members. Children who are 3 and under are free. Everyone living in coastal Orange County homes is invited to learn more about this event and purchase tickets here. The gardens are open from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. each night. There are three entry times to choose from: 6 p.m., 6:45 p.m., and 7:30 p.m.
