Celebrate Earth Day every day at your Orange County Coastal home by adopting conservation habits into daily life. The Bolsa Chica Conservatory leads the charge with their annual Earth Day Fun Fair on April 22, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Free to the family, this event features live animal interactions, educational opportunities, water quality tests, vendors, a jumping tent, and guided tours of the Bolsa Chica Wetlands.
Mother Earth provides a glorious place to live. Located at 3842 Warner Avenue in Huntington Beach, the Bolsa Chica Wetlands showcase the beauty of nature in the Southern California Real Estate area. This year’s Earth Day Fun Fair presents an array of fun opportunities to learn about pollution of the land and sea and what we all can do to combat it. In the Interpretive Center kids can make animal tracks, play nature and ecology themed games, and learn all about local wildlife.
Earth Day tours of the Interpretive Center and animal feedings demonstrations are available by registration only. Times for public tours are 10:30 a.m., 12 p.m. and 1:30 p.m. Animal feedings occur at 11 a.m, 12 p.m. and 1 p.m. Pre-register for your spot here.
The Earth Day Fun Fair provides a great opportunity to discover Bolsa Chica Wetlands. Residents from Orange County Coastal homes can return anytime to get back to nature. Five miles of trails offer up both tranquil and adventuresome moments. Know before you go. Be aware of rattlesnakes, poison oak and other hazards on the trails. Trail maps are available on the website. Bird watchers can also find a list of feathered friends to look out for online.
Expert talks, guided hikes for school children and the California Naturalist Certification program are all on site. Those who want to become more involved can sign up for volunteer training. It’s more than time to get back to nature!
